I was tailing behind the bunch from the Saviors of Arceus but I unexpectedly ended up in front of the estate of Ald Family.

.

Is this just a coincidence?

Or is there really something between the two of them?

Just what is happening between these two…

Finding a rock with a fitting size, I decided to stay behind it and hide from there.

.

Fortunately, these bunch still seem unaware of my presence.

I can still keep up the reconnaissance.

[…How was it, Gegga? Report your findings.]

Then, a new figure walks out from the mansion’s entrance.

.

It seems like it’s a fellow member of the Saviors of Arceus seeing it’s wearing the same gray robe.

.

The member that was called then started to proceed with his report. Gegga, was it.

.

[We ain’t able to verify it. A sword saint’s perceptions and senses are on another level.]

[Sword Saint, huh… Arios Makuba.]

[Yeah. We just inch a bit close and we’re immediately noticed. That dude is practically a monster… Unbelievable.]

[Hmph… It appears that there were merits behind him defeating the Vanitas Roar.]

Another member then holds his head as he starts to join their conversation.

.

[…Still, even though we aren’t able to verify what comrade A had said, chances are high that the sword saint Arios Makuba holds the homunculus which was our target.]

[Yeah. Don’t really think we’re wrong right there….]

–hm…?

I’m holding on to the homunculus, he said…?

This is bad.

When they say homunculus, they must be referring to Em, right? That young pure hearted girl?

Seriously?

Sure it was strange that she knew nothing of where she came from but she doesn’t appear to be any less different from a normal person…

[We can conclude that the chances he probably has it at 80%. For the sake of my experiments, we need to get that homunculus back in our hands. Stop dilly dallying, we are heading back to Rastal village rather than going home.]

The infamous household even amongst nobility, the Ald family.

Along with the involvement of Saviors of Arceus.

Then all this talk about homunculus.

To be honest, I only understood bits from their conversations.

But those things are enough for me to conclude on my own – they aren’t a bunch I should just leave alone.

As long as I am around the estate of the Ald family, I have to keep myself low to avoid getting any kind of suspicion by using any eye catching ability.

Thus, I put strength under my feet as I blink towards the bunch of grayed robes.

Sword of Origin, First form.

I move with a burst of speed faster than an eye could blink and arrive behind the robed figures and unleash my sword.

.

[…….!!!!]

One of them has already fallen without being able to voice out anything.

.

I even activated my skill again just to make sure of this guy’s vitality and yep, seems like this guy won’t be standing anytime soon.

I didn’t kill him though, obviously.

I have to secure as much information as I can so it’s better to secure as many as alive of them.

.

But really, I think my understanding of Sword of Origin has gone deeper after my duel with Dudley.

.

[W-what the…!]

[Impossible, It’s the sword saint, Arios Makuba…!?]

I turn towards the remaining robed figures with their eyes apparently shaking and let out a breath.

.

[I really just have to point this out but I am not a sword saint. I already completely severed my ties with the Makuba family.]

[Shut it, bastard! You’re really the sword saint!!]

Man, this guy Gegga has no chill.

.

Is that guy cursing me or praising me?

I don’t get what he wants to say.

–But, that won’t change the things that I have to do though.

By the time they said that they’re planning to force their way to Rastal, I immediately made up my mind. I really have to beat these guys ASAP.

[…Hey, before we fight, there’s actually something I want to ask.]

I ask the bunch of them without letting my guard down.

[What are you trying to achieve in this place? Seems to me you’re even involving the Ald family.]

[Gah! If you seriously wanna hear from us you better beat us blue and black!]

Then, the other member jabs his elbow to that agitated guy, Gegga.

[…Hey, just want to confirm but we ain’t gonna talk even if we lose, you get me?]

[Oh, right.]

.

Yo, Is that supposed to be a comedic skit.

Your performance sucks but that won’t be enough for you to have me distracted.

.

[Gaahhh..!!!]

[Seeeyaaaa!!!]

The two comedias then pull out their swords as they run towards my direction.

.

Wow, they sure are fast.

Yuya once told me that the guys from Saviors of Arceus are quite skilled but I guess that isn’t completely a lie.

.

Skill, <Cheat Code Manipulation>, activate.

.

Activate ability, <Absorption>.

It’s my ability to absorb all sorts of attacks toward my direction.

.

[Ah….!]

.

With the activation of my skill, the two of them were not able to control themselves and fully devoted their bodies in rushing in front of me.

.

–Now then.

.

Activate skill, <Cheat Code Manipulation>.

Let’s go with <Invulnerability>.

A power that allows me to take in any kind of attack towards myself for about 5 seconds without receiving any kind of repercussion. An ability that even I have to say overpowered.

Then, the two swords that had been making their way to pierce me haven’t even reached the hem of my clothes as if there’s a wall that cannot be seen standing firm in between.

[That…!]

[What the hell’s that..!]

.

Having both of them out of their stance and dropping down their guard, they do not look much different from easy prey before my eyes.

So I just swung my sword and just let the two of them fall into an unconscious state.

.

[I- I know nothing…!]

.

Or so Gegga said before he had fallen.
