Well, let’s deal with the corpse of the black grizzly first.

The corpse of this monster can be used in a variety of ways.

Especially its fangs and nails which are known as materials of high quality. Using these as materials for forging a sword would definitely result in better performance.

.

Then its fur.

It’s defense might be mediocre but the warmth it provides against the cold is superb. For someone like me who lost the place I can seek refuge to, it is important to secure items that will help me maintain my body temperature.

[…Though, what the heck is this.]

A strange thing has appeared in the middle of our dismemberment.

It’s a jewel of crimson color.

It’s inside the body of the black grizzly emitting a faint brilliance and indescribable atmosphere.

……Oh, well.

I’m not really sure but there’s no harm in keeping it. Who knows it might even sell for a good price.

Now that we’re done getting our spoils, let’s review once again how we will be moving from here onwards.

I don’t really mind going anywhere but if we will be leaving, I hope we’ll be going somewhere far away from hom– the royal capital, rather. To a place where the news of my failure are yet to be heard.

I am racking my brains and considering our options when I heard Rei say something outside of my expectations.

Ofcourse I know of it.

It’s the place where Rei’s mother, that is not the queen but was just a village girl from Rastal, grew up.

It’s the main reason why Rei doesn’t hold a strong position towards the race to the imperial succession, however, it says that her mother is the person the imperial emperor values the most.

It’s due to this why she receives some preferential treatment compare to her step siblings.

….As to why I am familiar with these rather useless information- it is because of the Makuba family.

[I’ve only been there for quite a few times but everyone from Rastal Village are good people, you know!]

Rei’s eyes sparkle as she swings both of my arms as she goes on with her fervent speech.

[The food there is good too! Its air and surroundings are clean and pretty as well! So!? It isn’t that bad, right!?]

Just how bad do you want to go to Rastal village.

You are kind of freaking me out here but if I have to be honest, it isn’t that bad of a choice.

Rastal village certainly is far away from the estate and I don’t really have to worry about how the populace will think of me.

But if we have to rent a carriage, we will be needing to head back to the capital to return it after use.

Well, ofcourse. If the cat gets out of the bag then you’ll be immediately sent back to the castle whether you want it or not though.

Even I don’t want to return here if possible after we set off. Rumors about me being a failskill is spreading like wildfire here in the capital at this very moment after all.

…But nonetheless, it is something I can’t do anything about.

Since we’ve decided to go to Rastal Village then I just have to bear with it.

For all of the times the carriage shop has to be disgustingly busy, it really has to be today. 

The line feels like a procession of boredom to death.

Then when I heard of the reason why, I feel like something inside me is on the verge of bursting out.

After all, it is because there was a report of a sighting of a rampaging black grizzly that suddenly appeared.

And due to the danger, everyone is trying to get additional carriages than what they normally have to decrease the risks.

These carriages will be used by the adventurers which urgently form parties together and devise strategies to defeat a black grizzly.

.

I’ve already defeated it though.

But no one is going to believe me if I say so as well being known as a failskill and all. So let’s just keep this to ourselves for the time being.

[Hey, it’s that guy…]

[The one who can’t be a sword saint…]

[Heard he’s been kicked out of their house…]

The fact is I’ve been hearing the same thing since earlier.

Ofcourse it’s not that I want to listen. It’s just that they are trying to keep their voices low as if to avoid me from hearing them. With that being the case, I can’t just let my anger take over.

[What’s wrong with all these people, they just keep on barking even though what they know about Arios is not even a little bit…!]

[Keep calm, keep calm.]

I’m trying to have Rei cool down a bit and stop her hand which is already holding on to her sword from shaking.

Hey, why does it feel like this princess seems angrier than me.

[We’ll be able to leave this place if we can just wait a bit longer. So please hold it down for the meantime.]

We are moving forward slowly but surely despite this tediously long line. If we can keep this pace up then quite a few minutes will be enough for us to safely get a carriage.

.

[Hey, you right there!]

.

Just hearing the voice of the person who shouted in my direction somehow gives me a bad feeling about it.

.

[Yes? Are you perhaps talking to me?]

[Isn’t that obvious! This good-for-nothing trash!]

.

Men lined up behind me then started to curse and spout insults all of a sudden.

They’re equipped with both weapons and armors, though they look damn real cheap. Adventurers, I guess.

.

[You can tell just by looking, ain’t you? We are adventurers.]

.

The man says so with a really smug attitude plastered all over his face.

.

[Haa….]

[Sorry but we’ve got an emergency in our hands. That’s why you lot should get out of our way.]

.

‘Hahahahahaha’ I then hear the people who seems to be this man’s companions start to laugh

.

[Hey, just think about it? We are here to contribute to the welfare of the society that a good-for -nothing like you could never do. That’s why for the benefit of the citizens, just get lost already, trash.]

.

–He’s lying.

That’s what I immediately realize.

.

Certainly there is an ongoing request for adventurers but it is not by any means an ’emergency’.

Because if that’s the case then they should have just went straight ahead of the line, and more importantly, if what he’s saying is true, the guild would just have lent them their dedicated carriage anyway.

.

That’s why I’m sure this man is just trying to mess with me.

To just rub some salt on the wound of the guy who didn’t become the sword saint–

[You guys. Just what are you trying to say all of a sudden!]

Rei then cut between me and the adventurer before I knew it.

.

[Just by looking at all of you, I don’t think you are the type of people who can be entrusted by emergency requests.]

[Ah?]

The adventurer’s eyes then glared at Rei with his eyes wide open.

.

-What a bind.

Rei, this girl, really – why do you make things immediately escalate into something that just words will not be able to fix.

[Before you try to act high and mighty, go and raise your own standing in the guild first and foremost. Oh lowest ranking adventurers-san]

This is bad.

These adventurers are now all riled up.

.

They start to raise and aim all of their different weapons on Rei. No matter how weak they are compared to her, there’s just no way Rei will be able to withstand receiving their attacks based on their numbers.

.

No more way around it, I guess.

Fire attribute magic’s destructive power is just too high though. There’s no way I can freely use it in a crowded place like this.

I wonder if Attack Powers Up (Low) will be enough to deal with this situation. I have some combat experience myself so perhaps this should suffice.

That adventurer, he went high up instead and fly higher and father on to the ends of the distant sky.

Just what the heck happened? I try to get a really good second look and can’t stop blinking my eyes.
