CCM 46 – Yo, What’s With the Commotion

[Fufufu. Oh, Dudley Claise.]

.

Rei — rather, the second princess of the kingdom, Reimira Li Arceus, sneers as her eyes twist in disdain talking to Dudley.

.

[Not only did you arrive and disturb the place where my mother has grown up, you’ve even harmed it’s populace… Just what gave you the idea that you can do so, I wonder?]

.

The princess walks in strides with a big snicker on her face.

.

Her casual and carefree attitude that the villagers are familiar with can no longer be found.

Certainly — She’s pissed off, really.

Like super duper angry.

.

[What’s more… you even put to use that filthy mouth of yours on slandering “MY” Arios… That’s on top of your desire to hurt him, no? Fufufu, shall I have you be burned at a stake, or have you get stabbed to death — or rather… Say, which punishment would you prefer?]

[Hyiiiiiiiiiiiiiii…………..!!!!]

.

Well, Dudley’s reaction is something I expected to happen.

He takes one step at a time trying to move back further away from Reimira.

.

I mean, it is these ties and relationship with the Royal family that allows the Makuba family to thrive.

Even I, before I was abandoned by my father, was told how we should keep ourselves in check when interacting with the royalties.

That’s probably the reason why Dudley can’t afford to just talk back against Rei.

.

I know.

I can really sympathize.

Still, that restraint isn’t applicable to me anymore though.

.

[…What are you saying, Reimira-sama!]

.

Oh, seems like Dudley still won’t just back down.

.

[Why are you standing by the side of such a guy! That guy’s a failskill… A failure of all things… A trash that will never be able to do anything!]

[Ara? It seems you are quite lacking in comprehending things. But if you insist that much — ]

.

Then-

.

[Stop insulting Arios-sama! Stupid Sword Saint!]

.

A familiar looking old man shouted at Dudley and threw a small stone towards him.

.

That’s — really now.

It is the C adventurer that I had argued and fought against back in the adventurer guild whose attitude made a sudden turn.

.

[That’s right, that’s right! What do you even know about Arios-dono!]

.

Even Arturo decided to pinch in.

.

[Foolish Makubas drowning themselves in their own greed… How presumptuous of them to still call themselves sword saints! I really made the right choice of leaving the royal capital!]

[At the very least… Arios-san is a finer swordsman than you are.]

.

That last remark came from the A rank adventurer Kaya.

.

And it isn’t just them.

.

[They’re all right!]

[Don’t insult Arios-san!]

[Please don’t curse the person who saved us!]

[Onii-chan will be marrying me!!] (TL: Go for it, little girl!)

.

It’s the residents that I talked with when I first arrived.

As well as the victims that have been saved from the hidden base of Saviors’ of Arceus.

.

Each and everyone of them are standing up for me. Some are throwing stones, while some raise their voices… They all have their own ways to cover me.

.

Still, different they may be, there’s one thing I am certain of them — everyone in this village is with me.

.

[A-agh…. S-stop! Ouch, ouch, ouch!!!]

.

With lots of stones coming from all directions, Dudley pathetically crouches and covers his head.

.

[Ouch! I said it hurts, dammit! Just please stop…! F*ck, just what the hell is this…!]

.

Hey, Dudley, err – are those tears? I’m not sure but can you let me see?

.

[Ara. This is….]

.

Reimira smiles as she looks at the situation in satisfaction.

.

[Looks like I didn’t even have to show up. Look, Arios. This is the trust and faith you have built with all the people here.]

[Everyone…]

.

I always thought I already lost everything and had no place to go anymore.

.

Someone like me who got disqualified and abandoned as a sword saint candidate.

Someone like me who bears the stigma of being a failskill.

.

But now – I am one hundred percent sure that this place is where I belong.

.

[F*cking retard! Hiding behind all these…!]

.

Perhaps he can’t take the situation anymore, Dudley puts his hand to the handle of his sword.

.

[…..]

.

This guy, he intends to lash his blade against all these people, huh.

.

[–Stop right there, Dudley.]

.

Suddenly.

A familiar voice that I fear to ever hear again has resounded in the area.

.

I don’t have to turn my head to know.

Because I know for a fact that that person must be–

.

[People of the village. My son had caused quite a commotion.]

.

It’s the sword saint. Leon Makuba.

  1. That little girl sure is cute lol. I wonder how things will play out next chapter with his father showing up, will he even acknowledge Arios? I’m personally hoping Arios kicks Dudley’s ass right in front of his dad and makes him regret abandoning him.

    Anyways thanks for the chapter!!

  2. After all those rebukes from the royal family, his own household staffs, and quite possibly the people in the capital, the old coot still consider Dudley as his rightly (step)son? Proceed with the spanking please, Arios.

  3. Wasn’t he given express permission by his ancestor to “show them what’s up” ??? xD
    Thanks for the chapter ~

  4. thanks for chap
